This soft sandy beach faces the English Channel but is largely protected from easterly winds and is purportedly the best surfing, wind surfing and body boarding spot on the islands if you have your own equipment to bring.However there are no immediate facilities at all and no lifeguard cover, so you may want to stick to exploring the fort (up the beach steps) and the rock pools.
